Peaches Patient Voices connects people affected by womb cancer, whether as a patient or a carer, with researchers. Everyone’s experience of womb cancer is unique, and anyone whose life has been touched by it is welcome to join.
Recognising a gap in Public and Patient Involvement and Engagement (PPIE) in womb cancer research, Helen White joined forces with Peaches Womb Cancer Trust in 2021 to establish and lead the Patient Voices group. We’re enormously grateful to Helen for the time, energy and passion she brings to Peaches Patient Voices.
Alison, the 100th member to join the group, wants her experience of womb cancer to help shape more positive experiences for others and ensure that women’s voices are heard. She also has a strong interest in research exploring the causes of womb cancer:

“By getting involved with Patient Voices I hope I can help ensure that the high standard of care I received is similar for everyone. By using my voice, I hope to help others with a womb cancer diagnosis.”
Involving people who’ve been affected by womb cancer is key to helping researchers understand what truly matters. It’s vital that people with lived experience help shape research so that outcomes genuinely improve care and treatment.
To make research as relevant and inclusive as possible, it’s important that researchers hear from a wide range of voices. We’re always keen to welcome people from diverse backgrounds and with varied experiences of womb cancer.
Thank you to everyone who is already a member of Peaches Patient Voices.
