We are delighted to welcome Cath Kennedy to Peaches. Cath will be providing confidential support and advice via email: [email protected]. She will also be developing new support services for those affected by womb cancer. Coffee morning attendees will have an opportunity to meet Cath when she joins Anne at the forthcoming May support coffee morning.
Cath is an Advanced Clinical Practitioner and a qualified nurse having graduated from the University of Manchester with BSc (Hons) in Adult Nursing Studies in 2010. Cath has always worked within the field of gynaecology since graduating and continues to work clinically on an adhoc basis alongside her role here at Peaches.
Beginning her career on an acute gynaecology ward, Cath soon recognised her love was in gynae oncology and completed her Foundations in Cancer Care course which enabled her to take on the role of a Macmillan Cancer Nurse Specialist within the Gynaecology team at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
In 2022, Cath completed her Msc in Advanced Clinical Practice at The University of Salford with distinction and from this point commenced the role of an Advanced Clinical Practitioner. During this time, she worked within the gynae oncology team caring for inpatients, running follow-up clinics, and engaging in weekly multidisciplinary team meetings.
