Dr Heather Agnew ran the 2024 Edinburgh marathon on behalf of Peaches Womb Cancer Trust, and we are so grateful that she chose to raise money for us. Thank you!
Heather chose to fundraise for Peaches as a small thank you:
“It’s a way to give back to this charity, who through their Peaches Patient Voices group, supported my research into endometrial cancer survivorship.
Womb cancer is the most common gynae cancer with over 9,700 cases diagnosed each year and this is only expected to increase.
Peaches is the only charity purely for womb cancer and they are so passionate about giving womb cancer survivors a voice which I think is vital, particularly as a doctor working in this field.
I am also very fortunate to have worked directly with Prof Crosbie and the other founders, and I know that their ethos and dedication to the women they look after is only further evidenced through the time they give to this charity.”
If you are, or thinking of, running or taking part in a challenge event on behalf of Peaches we’d love to hear from you. We can supply a running vest and help spread the word – your activity not only raises funds for Peaches it can inspire others to take on their own challenge too!
