Peaches Womb Cancer Trust is a small charity, with a team of enthusiastic and dedicated trustees.
Our Trustee Board includes health care professionals and researchers who work closely with those affected by womb cancer. This gives us unique insight into their needs and concerns and also an understanding of how dedicated research and changes to current cancer health priorities are vital in helping women with womb cancer live longer healthier lives. As Peaches continues to grow, we have recognised the need to add the expertise of new trustees who have experience of managing a charity in the growth phase.
We are looking for two or three new trustees with some of the following experience:
- Best practice in fundraising
- Community fundraising
- Corporate fundraising
- Charity marketing
- Policy writing
- Risk register review and management
- Charity law and regulation
- Charity governance
- Developing commercial/traded income streams
- Financial management and accounting
- Business and strategy management
- Enterprise and business development
- Grants and Trusts fundraising
- Knowledge of charity sector
- Managing Investments
- Regulatory and/or policy issues in medical charity
- Service design
We also encourage applications from those with lived experience of endometrial (uterine or womb) cancer, or a close connection to someone with lived experience.
This is a voluntary role. The trustees meet for 2-3 hours every 6-8 weeks with one or two face to face meetings per year. We expect that 2-4 hours per week will be required outside of trustee meetings.
